Best practices for turning off Andor 1?

wanting to make sure what the best practice is when using the andor 1 and wanting to power it down

do we need to go through a shut down procedure or just pull out the USB cable?

No need to shut it down, it’s totally fine to just pull power. The Andor 1’s own internal drive is read-only so you don’t ever risk causing any problems.
