Anyone have pictures of their Cyclops setups? I think Im overcomplicating things, when I could probably just have a few simple modules do what I´m actually hoping to do.

don’t have a cyclops - maybe you could post a link ro you rack on modulargrid and explkain why you think you are over complicating things

Any luck in figuring out a better setup for your Cyclops since you created this thread @pkapka?

My Cyclopses have been in storage for a while but this older thread has a photo of the arrangement I last had them in. Simple definitely works!
- Sensory Translator
- Intellijel Dr. Octature II (phase shifted octature/quadrature oscs for circular patterns)
- Pittsburgh OSC v2 (sawtooth ramp for X axis of waveform visualization)
- 4ms Buffered Mult
- 2x Befacto A*B+C (for more extreme scaling/shifting scenarios)
- 2x Cyclops
I’ve been using a Lightspace Venus II 3W with good results, also paired it with a friend’s Kvant 3W recently after throwing together a dual-Cyclops rack. >

2x Cyclops @Dewb

Cheers for posting
Hopefully a few other cyclops & laser users will chime in over the coming days & weeks.

I have Cyclops. I’m usually controlling it with 1010 LaserBox. But the other night I was controlling it with a Dual Richter Borg on the X and an LFO on the Y and each color. I can upload video if you’d like.

I’d happily see some video @Fallinggirl

Sure. I have a bunch on YouTube accompanies with and without 1010 LaserBox. Here’s a video explaining LaserBox https://youtu.be/pe_UTF7ErWs . Here’s one using just Cyclops with LFOs modulating the X and colors and a self oscillating Dual Richter Borg filter modulating the Y axis https://youtu.be/XwMKusx3dW8 . Here is an example of using wav. files to create oscilloscope patterns with the Cyclops. With a wav file the left channel plots the x axis and the right channel the y axis. You can use LFOs to modulate the colors on cyclops if you’d like: https://youtu.be/KWPwY2U9C3g
Let me know what you’d like to see and I’ll do a video for you. I have an awesome laser on the way and will show some better laser animation next week.
