Almost finished building my Cadets before I plug I wanted to check the sync cable as I swapped Male and female Headers in the Sync Generator. would this configuration work as in the pictures?

I don’t quite understand what you mean by “swapped male and female headers” but the sync cable in the pictures you’ve posted should work just fine.
