A Question About Contour

I have recently stumbled across this video demo of a technique where the artist creates some great 3D depth in a patch with the Curtain module. I was wondering if any one who uses Contour can tell me if the same kind of effect is possible with Contour or Contour and some combination of other modules?

Contour + Proc will get you into this territory (think of that like having three mini-Curtains.) It’s not exactly the same, but I think you’d have all the functions required to get into the technique under discussion (namely, differentiation and addition/subtraction.)

Thanks, Lars appreciate the response! Contour is next on my list. Was trying to decide between getting a Contour and tracking down a curtain.
