TBC2 mk1 after firmware update 1.0.3 dark/dead (solution: SD-card trouble)

…recently i found the TBC2-firmware update 1.0.3 on the LZX-product page; as i had only last year upgraded my TBC2 mk1 and my TBC2 mk2 each with the respective separately provided firmwares 1.0.2 successfully i only wondered a little bit that there is only one file provided but went ahead nevertheless with the upgrade…

…while the TBC2 mk2 showed ‘Erasing’, then ‘Writing’ and then showed that it had finished the update but after a restart was still on 1.0.2 the TBC2 mk1 got stuck in ‘Writing’ - until after about half an hour of it being stuck in ‘Writing’ i power-cycled the case and since then the TBC2 mk1 is dead…not even the (just upgraded to silent) fan starts turning…

…is there a way i can save my TBC2 mk1 myself?..

…after a couple of minutes now the fan is turning again - the module remains dark though…

…sorry for the noise - with the help of this thread

(Posting in case it can be resolved and can help someone else in the future) > I accidentally pressed ‘Reset Firmware’ on the TBC2. After it finished erasing, there was a prompt to restart - I pressed the confirm/yellow button but think it was frozen as nothing happened for a couple of minutes, so I powered down - Now, after powering back up, the TBC2 won’t show anything on the display. > I’ve tried loading the boot.bin file to an SD card and holding down the ‘Boot from SD’ button on the back of t…>

i was able to boot from an Transcend 4GB card - the recommended Sandisk 16GB card did not work (photo shows also a 16GB Transcend, but only the 4GB is working):

…TBC2 mk1 is up and running now with firmware version 1.0.3…

…however: please update the recommended SD-card-list; a (british) friend living in the netherlands and i searched online for a couple of days to find the recommended card (see photo above, card had only arrived today) which is an old class 4 model, very difficult to find (over here, Europe) and very-very expensive…and: it does not work…
