A video capture device can record the output of your system. We recommend devices which can capture Component/YPbPr video for the highest quality recordings.
We’ve had great results using the Black Magic Intensity Shuttle.

I’ve been using the cheapest capture card I could find with good results (on Linux Ubuntu). It’s this one, or one very similar:
