Help!!! I bought a nice RGB to VGA cable to connect my Visual Cortex to a standard flatscreen LCD monitor, and it’s not working. Any ideas?

you need a (active) converter, not just a cable.

you can get them cheap on ebay, search for RGB to VGA converter

should not cost more than 20,- euro

What you want is called a scaler with YPbPr inputs and VGA output. I have an older unit I bought on eBay that works really great for this purpose. Most modern displays these days have HDMI inputs, so if you’re investing in your rig, you may want to consider a nice quality HDMI upscaler instead.
