Hello community,

I think I want to start building some diy cadet and castle modules, but taking a cursory glance at mouser, some of the components in the BOM are designated obsolete and therefore not carried by mouser. I have experience soldering and making other diy synth gear, but I’ve never sourced components myself. Should I just get similar components for the obsolete ones? will updated BOM’s be available?

friendly hint: there is a similar thread about this here: (go read it all)

:pick:

this thread is about all kinds of components, not just the LT1251/56>> You can substitute LT1256 for LT1251 in any of the Cadet designs> At LZX we have sourced LT1256 in the past from Mouser and directly from Linear Technology/Analog Devices.>

most stuff can be found. (at Mouser , or other vendors)

Learning how to source components is part of the DIY process.

The faster you get the hang of it, the better!
