Annex D (informative) — Rail insert catalog

Insert requirements and the recommended section are in Rail inserts. This annex lists catalog parts against them. M2.5 and #4-40 parts are subrack hardware, not EIS inserts (RAIL-003).

D.1 Parts with a published section

Gie-Tec prints 426.7 mm for the 19-inch strip and 203.2 mm for the 10-inch strip. Those lengths are catalog figures. They are not the EIS strip length formula. The Schroff strips are listed in vendors/schroff/inserts.json in the reference repository.

DIN 562 M3 Nominal 5.5 mm across flats and 1.8 mm thick. Wider than the 5.0 mm groove, and wider than the 5.334 mm head of the Vector T-slot.
apra threaded insert, M2.5, 7 mm × 2 mm Wider than the 5.0 mm groove. It fits the apra rail, not every rail of the recommended section.
