About Us

LZX Industries LLC ("LZX," "we," "us," or "our") designs and manufactures creative instruments for video synthesis and analog image processing. We sell assembled electronic modules and DIY (do-it-yourself) kits through our online store.

Orders & Payment

Payment in full is required at the time your order is placed. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

Order confirmation does not guarantee availability. In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will notify you and offer a full refund or an alternative product of your choice.

First paid, first shipped. Your place in our fulfillment queue is reserved at the time your order is paid in full.

In-Stock Items

In-stock items are processed and shipped within 2–3 business days. See our Shipping Policy for carrier information and delivery estimates.

Preorders & Backorders

When you place a preorder or backorder, the estimated ship date is listed on the product page.

If we cannot ship by the estimated date, we will notify you by email with:

The reason for the delay.
A revised estimated ship date.
Your options — including the right to cancel for store credit.

You may cancel a preorder or backorder at any time before shipment for store credit. Your credit can be applied to any other product in our store — including items currently in stock for immediate shipment. Preorder and backorder cancellations are not eligible for refund to the original payment method.

Store credit is issued within 3 business days of your cancellation request and does not expire.

Combined Shipments

All items in an order ship together by default. If your order includes both in-stock and preorder/backorder items, the in-stock items will be held until all items are ready. If you need immediate shipment of in-stock items, we recommend placing a separate order. You may also contact us to split an existing order — additional shipping charges may apply.

DIY Products

Our DIY products — including PCB and frontpanel sets, kits, and related components — are designed for intermediate to advanced electronics hobbyists. By purchasing a DIY product, you acknowledge the following:

No build support. We do not offer assembly instructions, build troubleshooting, or hands-on technical support for DIY products beyond what is published on the product page, our documentation site, and our community resources.
Functional guarantee. We guarantee that DIY products will function as intended when assembled correctly according to the parts lists in their posted Bill of Materials (BOM) and any published assembly guides.
Component sourcing. You are responsible for sourcing any components not included in the kit. Our BOMs provide reference part numbers, but component availability may vary.
Community resources. For build questions, we encourage you to join our community forum at community.lzxindustries.net and consult our documentation at docs.lzxindustries.net.

DIY products are offered as a service to the tradition of synth DIY and are intended for builders with experience in through-hole and surface mount soldering techniques and component sourcing.

Intellectual Property

All product designs, firmware, software, documentation, images, and other content on this website are the property of LZX Industries LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except as expressly permitted for personal, non-commercial use or as required for normal use of our products.

Open-source components, where applicable, are governed by their respective licenses as documented in the product materials.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

LZX Industries LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our products or website shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or damage to other equipment, arising from the use or inability to use our products.
We are not liable for damages resulting from improper installation, modification, misuse, or use of our products with incompatible equipment or power supplies.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based.

Assumption of Risk

Electronic modules require proper power supplies, compatible cases, and correct installation practices. You assume all risk associated with the installation and use of our products. We recommend reviewing our documentation and power supply guidelines before installing any module.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from these terms or your use of our products or website, we encourage you to first contact us at support@lzxindustries.net so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally. Most concerns can be addressed quickly through direct communication.

If we are unable to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days, the dispute shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action shall be brought in the courts located in Oregon.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order on our website. By placing an order, you represent that you are 18 or older.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes take effect when posted to this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Your continued use of our website or placement of orders after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

For significant changes that affect your existing orders, we will notify you by email.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Warranty Policy

LZX Industries LLC ("LZX") stands behind the quality of our products. This section describes your warranty coverage, how to file a claim, and what is and is not covered.

Standard Warranty — Assembled Modules

All assembled modules sold by LZX Industries are covered by a 1-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

During the warranty period, LZX will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective product at no charge. Replacement products may be new or refurbished with equivalent functionality.

Dead on Arrival (DOA) — Fast-Track Replacement

If your assembled module fails to power on, respond, or function correctly within 45 days of delivery, it qualifies for our DOA fast-track program:

Contact us with a brief description of the issue and photos or a short video demonstrating the problem.
We will ship a replacement unit to you as quickly as possible.
LZX covers return shipping for DOA claims. We will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your return shipping costs.
Return of the defective unit is required within 14 days of receiving your replacement.

The DOA fast-track is designed to get you up and running immediately, without the wait times of a standard repair.

Warranty Coverage — DIY Kits

DIY kits (PCB and frontpanel sets) are covered as follows:

PCB and frontpanel manufacturing defects — such as faulty traces, delamination, drill errors, or silkscreen defects — are covered for 1 year from delivery.
Pre-populated SMT components (where applicable) are covered for 1 year from delivery against manufacturing defects.
Assembly errors are not covered. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by incorrect soldering, wrong component placement, solder bridges, or other assembly mistakes.

If you believe your DIY kit has a manufacturing defect, contact us with photos of the issue. We will evaluate your claim and, if the defect is confirmed, provide a replacement PCB, panel, or component as appropriate.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by incorrect power supply voltage, polarity, or connection (including damage from faulty eurorack bus boards or power supplies).
Damage caused by physical impact, drops, or crushing.
Damage caused by liquid exposure or environmental contamination.
Damage caused by user modifications, unauthorized repairs, or alterations to the product.
Cosmetic wear — including scratches, scuffs, patina, or fading from normal use — that does not affect functionality.
Damage resulting from use with incompatible equipment or outside the product's specified operating conditions.
Products with removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers.
Products purchased from unauthorized dealers or secondhand sellers who cannot provide proof of original purchase.
DIY assembly errors — see DIY Kits section above.

Warranty Claim Process

To file a warranty claim:

Email us at support@lzxindustries.net with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase.
- The product name and serial number (if applicable).
- A description of the issue.
- Photos or a short video demonstrating the problem.
We will respond within 1–2 business days with a determination:
- If the issue is covered, we will provide return shipping instructions (or a prepaid label for DOA claims).
- If we need more information, we will let you know what's needed.
- If the issue is not covered under warranty, we will explain why and discuss repair options, which may be available for a fee.
Ship the product to us using a trackable shipping method. For standard warranty claims (non-DOA), the customer is responsible for shipping costs to LZX. LZX covers return shipping of the repaired or replaced product to you.
Repair turnaround: We aim to complete warranty repairs within 10 business days of receiving your product. If a longer timeline is needed, we will notify you.

Warranty Transferability

This warranty is transferable to subsequent owners of the product, provided the claim is made within the original 1-year warranty period and the claimant can provide proof of original purchase (e.g., the original order number, receipt, or shipping confirmation). This supports the value of LZX products in the secondhand market.

Out-of-Warranty Repairs

If your product is outside the warranty period or the issue is not covered, we may still be able to help. Contact us at support@lzxindustries.net to discuss repair options. Out-of-warranty repairs are available for a fee, and we will provide a cost estimate before beginning any work.
