Firmware Beta Program: TBC2 & Diver
We're opening up firmware beta testing for two modules: TBC2 and Diver.
Both have active beta tracks on the LZX website. Sign up, get release candidates before they go public, and report what you find directly to the firmware team. Your reports show up as tracked issues — you can see what's open and what's been fixed as builds progress.
Diver 1.0.2-rc.1 is in the beta channel right now. This build is targeting Issue #6 — a startup freeze caused by a race condition in the TVP5150 video decoder's initialization sequence. The candidate fix is live. We need field reports across different power supplies, rack configurations, and input sources to confirm it holds before going stable.
TBC2 1.1.0-rc.1 is in the beta channel right now. This is a major step up from 1.0.7: reworked keypad feel (tap = one step, hold-to-scroll with acceleration), new media player with dual slots and cross-dissolve, SD proc-amp controls, aspect ratio handling (letterbox/pillarbox/crop), and USB mass-storage for mounting the SD card to your computer. There's a known rough edge on the USB side — the drive can take 30–60 seconds to appear — and we're collecting data across setups to track it down.
How it works:
- Sign up at the module's beta hub with your email
- When a new release candidate is ready, you'll receive a notification with a download link
- Flash the firmware via DFU, run it in your rack, and submit a report through the beta report form on the hub

- TBC2 1.1.0-rc.1 → lzxindustries.net/modules/tbc2/beta
