← Back to Castle 100 Multi Gate overviewCastle 100 Multi Gate
Castle 100 groups multiple 4000-series style gates in one 4 HP (series-typical) panel so you can form NAND, NOR, XOR, and inversion in place without a breadboard, keeping 5V digital noise and lead length under control in a video rack.
Role in a patch
Combine shift-register bits, counter lines, and comparator outputs into Boolean video shapes and gating before DACs or Cadet keying. Keep rise times and cable dress sane for clean edges at video-related rates.
Power and build
Use Castle power and bypassing as specified for your PCB revision. Do not substitute non-CMOS part families where the design calls for 5V-rated inputs.
