Cyclops is an interface module which converts Eurorack modular signals to the International Laser Display Association (ILDA) specification for laser show projectors. We recommend connecting Cyclops to a Eurorack modular system rich in VCOs (especially quadrature sources), multipliers, and signal mixers in order to synthesize a full range of oscillographic patterns and lissajous geometries.

Specifications

  • Width: 16HP
  • Max Depth: 31mm
  • Power: 60mA@ +12V , 50mA@ -12V , 0mA@ +5V

@creatorlars, Will the future possibly see a Gen3 equal of Cyclops or is Cromagnon the only option? My Gen3 system is getting nice and healthy so I’m not sure I need Cromagnon, but If it gets me in the laser game then this is the way.
Thanks!

I’d like to do ILDA interface modules in the Gen3 series, but it’s not in active development right now.

For sure the best reply I was crossing my fingers for.
Not to say I won’t grab a Cromagnon at the first chance I get!

Can the Escher and Memory palace be used to draw animation frames with the Cyclops?

Open original thread

I imagine saving animated xy info with the memory palace and feeding to a cyclops could be used to produce a cohesive laser drawing? And if so could it be each drawn image be saved as a “frame” and played back for laser animations?

Has anyone tried this? Blanking is always an issue with shapes, though
