videomancer beta program

Archived RC: 1.0.0-rc.68

Auto is the default for video route and analog in; HDMI beats analog beats standalone, and SD composite burst selects CVBS under analog Auto

Before you test

  • Flash 1.0.0-rc.68 UF2 (full image)
  • Official 1.0.8-rc.1 and community 1.0.6-rc.1 already installed is fine

Testing goals

  • Factory reset opens on Auto

    high

    1. Factory reset or flash a unit with no saved route/analog keys. 2. Open Settings → Vid Route Mode and Analog In Mode.

Pass: Both menus show Auto. A unit that previously saved Analog In (0) and Composite (0) still shows those after the update.

  • HDMI over analog over standalone

    high

    1. Set Vid Route Mode to Auto. 2. Connect HDMI and an analog source; confirm HDMI input on the home label. 3. Unplug HDMI; confirm analog takes over. 4. Unplug analog; confirm standalone synthesis.

Pass: Priority matches HDMI → analog → standalone. Dual never appears unless chosen explicitly. At most one bitstream load when a source is present at cold boot.

  • Analog Auto picks CVBS vs YPbPr

    high

    1. Vid Route Analog or Auto with analog winning; Analog In Mode Auto. 2. Feed NTSC or PAL composite on the shared Y/CVBS jack. 3. Switch to component or HD on the same path.

Pass: SD color composite becomes CVBS (home label CVBS). Component/HD/ED and B&W SD stay YPbPr. RGB 1V / SOG selections do not change by themselves.

  • Explicit Standalone still isolates idle sync

    medium

    1. Set Vid Route Mode to Standalone (not Auto). 2. Leave a composite cable on the jack with no intended input.

Pass: Sync Out / timing behavior matches rc.67 explicit Standalone (L5 idle), not Auto standalone STDI watch.
