Archived RC: 1.0.2-rc.2Program library installs over LZX Connect should complete, including when started right after power-on, and run several times faster than before. The picker and MIDI Assign fixes from rc.1 are carried over. This candidate has not been through the desk bench, so field timings matter most.
Before you test
- Flash 1.0.2-rc.2 UF2 (full image) via LZX Connect with Show pre-releases on
- LZX Connect 1.3.10 or newer
- A microSD card seated before power-on; official library 1.0.10 and the community library available to install
Testing goals
Library install started right after power-on
high1. Power-cycle Videomancer with the card seated and connect LZX Connect within a few seconds. 2. As soon as Connect shows the device, start Update Official Programs (then Update Community Programs). 3. Note the time the install takes and any error text.
Pass: Both installs complete without a timeout or "semaphore timeout" error, even when started while the device is still scanning the card after boot.
Library install speed
high1. With the device running for at least a minute, start Update Community Programs. 2. Watch the progress percentage and note roughly how long 10 % takes, and the total time.
Pass: The install is clearly faster than on 1.0.1 (which crept at about 1 % every 5 to 10 s); report the total minutes and your host OS.
Author picker with a full SD library (carried from rc.1)
medium1. Press SYSTEM so the status view shows, then click the encoder: the row reads "Pick Author". 2. Turn to a different author and click; the second row reads "Scanning n/m", then "Auth:<name>". 3. Repeat ten times, pressing a few P switches and SYSTEM briefly while "Scanning" is shown.
Pass: Every click lands in that author's program list; the picker never drops back to the status view on its own, and no MIDI Assign prompt appears unless a P switch was held for about 1.5 s.
