Archived RC: 1.0.2-rc.4

Every modulation Gain and Depth knob is now a bipolar attenuverter: center is null, right is positive, left inverts, with the same full-scale gain at either end. Presets saved on earlier firmware should load sounding the same. The sideload recovery from rc.3 is carried over. This candidate has not been through the desk bench.

Before you test

  • Flash 1.0.2-rc.4 UF2 (full image) via LZX Connect with Show pre-releases on
  • LZX Connect 1.3.10 or newer (1.3.13 recommended)

Testing goals

  • LFO Depth is an attenuverter

    high

    1. Set a modulator on a clearly visible parameter to Free LFO, triangle wave, Rate about 40%. 2. Turn Depth fully right, then slowly to center, then fully left. Watch the display value and the sweep.

Pass: Depth reads 0 at center with no motion. The sweep grows in both directions from center; fully left is as wide as fully right but moves opposite.

  • CV Input Gain inverts a patched CV

    high

    1. Patch a slow positive CV or LFO into a rear jack and set a modulator to CV Input on that channel. 2. Compare Gain at +100, 0 and −100.

Pass: At +100 positive voltage moves the parameter up, at −100 it moves it down by the same amount, and at 0 the jack has no effect.

  • Presets saved on rc.3 or earlier sound the same

    high

    1. Before flashing, save a user preset with a few modulators running at different Gain/Depth settings. 2. Flash rc.4 and recall the preset.

Pass: Modulation amounts match what they were; Gain/Depth readings are on the positive half (old 50% now reads about +50).

  • Toggle targets invert with negative Gain

    medium

    1. Assign a toggle (P7–P11) to Pulse Width or Clock Div. 2. Compare Depth/Gain right of center, at center and left of center.

Pass: Right gates normally, left gates inverted, center leaves the toggle at its switch position.
